Company Description
Thingtrax is a VC-backed UK-based AI company transforming how food manufacturers see, understand, and optimise their production lines. Our focus is on deploying Computer Vision AI Agents that automate critical visual inspection tasks on the factory floor, starting with three core use cases: count, quality, and label verification. These AI Agents integrate seamlessly into existing production environments, delivering instant, actionable insights that enhance accuracy, reduce waste, and ensure compliance. For enterprise customers, Thingtrax offers an optional Line Efficiency layer or integration with existing MES and OEE systems to deliver a holistic view of performance. Our mission is to enable every food manufacturer to achieve world-class operational performance through intelligent automation, replacing manual checks with trustworthy, real-time AI intelligence.

The Role
We are hiring a Solutions Architect to ensure that solutions deployed in live manufacturing environments are operationally meaningful, technically feasible, and delivered predictably. This role sits within Customer Success and operates independently from revenue targets. You will play a critical part in protecting delivery stability by validating feasibility before mobilisation and ensuring trained models meet agreed specifications before deployment. - Translate manufacturing and compliance risks into structured solution requirements
- Define measurable success criteria aligned to operational outcomes
- Feasibility Validation
- Assess physical, environmental, and operational viability in live production settings
- Evaluate SKU variability and production complexity
- Confirm solution scope boundaries before mobilisation
- Approve or decline progression based on structured feasibility assessment
- Model & Deployment Readiness
- Review dataset adequacy and validation thresholds
- Confirm alignment between agreed specifications and trained model performance
- Approve deployment readiness prior to go-live
- Withhold release where defined standards are not met
- Hypercare & Continuity
- Remain engaged during early-stage stabilisation
- Provide architectural clarity when deviations occur
- Support structured transition into Business-As-Usual operations
Objectives & Success Measures
Performance in this role is measured on stability, prevention, and predictability. Key Indicators Include:
- High percentage of projects progressing without downstream rework
- Strong first-pass go-live performance
- Reduction in late-stage scope reinterpretation
- Reduced escalation frequency linked to feasibility variance
- Increased customer confidence at installation stage
Requirements
We are seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- Manufacturing operations
- Quality assurance or compliance

- Technical operations in FMCG or food & beverage environments
Candidates Should Demonstrate:
- Experience operating in live factory environments
- Ability to diagnose operational or compliance risk
- Structured and systems-oriented thinking
- Confidence to challenge assumptions constructively
- Strong stakeholder communication capability
- Comfort working under commercial pressure without compromising standards
NOT Required. You Do NOT Need:
- Coding expertise
- Deep AI engineering knowledge
- PLC programming
- Network configuration experience
Operational judgement and governance discipline are more important than technical depth.
Benefits
- 9% pension
- Cycle to work Scheme
- EAP Scheme
- 25 days holiday plus your birthday off
- An opportunity to grow your skills with some of the most exciting thought leaders from the technology industry
- A collaborative culture where you are supported, given constructive feedback to develop your skills and be part of a team where you can influence change
