At Thin Reel, we create engaging content for Social, VOD and Cinema, working with leading agencies and brands around the world. We’re a small, ambitious in-house team focused on making strong work and constantly pushing our craft.

We’re looking for a Video Editor who’s keen to move fast, take ownership, and grow with us. You’ll be editing a wide range of projects, collaborating closely with the wider production team, and playing a key role in shaping the final output.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously while staying true to specific client briefs and strict deadlines.
• Creative Delivery: Confidently deliver high-quality, creatively edited content in line with post-production schedules.
• Data Management: Handle the full data lifecycle, including ingesting, backing up footage, and maintaining organised archival systems.
• Pre-Production Input: Act as a creative voice during pre-production, offering ideas on how to really make the content shine even before the camera\’s roll.
• Quality Control (QC): Perform rigorous QC on all content to ensure technical standards are met for final delivery.
• Trend Monitoring: Keep a \”finger on the pulse\” of the latest editing trends to ensure our output remains fresh.

Location: Bournemouth, UK

Work Pattern: Hybrid: 3 Days Office / 2 Days Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Band: £27,000 – £33,000

Must Haves

• Experience: 3+ years in a similar role (agency, production company, or post-house).
• Technical Mastery: Expert-level Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Motion Graphics: Strong proficiency in designing GFX to enhance storytelling.
• Post-Production Knowledge: Solid understanding of color grading, sound design, and audio mixing.
• Platform Awareness: Experience crafting narratives tailored for TikTok, Instagram, VOD, and YouTube.
• Organizational Excellence: Meticulous approach to project files and folder structures.
• Attention to Detail: An eagle eye for detail and technical polish.
• Industry Passion: A deep interest in the evolving production landscape.

Nice to Haves

• 3D & VFX: Experience with 3D animation and advanced Visual Effects.
• On-Camera Presence: Willingness to get involved in front of the lens for our own internal marketing content.
