Role: FLT Driver - Nights
Shift: 4 ON 4 OFF | 6pm - 6am
Location: Brighter Foods, Pendre Industrial Estate, Tywyn LL36 9LW
The role will encompass all aspects of warehousing, including receiving deliveries, supplying the factory with materials, loading outbound orders, and maintaining accurate stock levels while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities- Ensure stock is rotated and used in order of date expiry.
- Inspect materials prior to issuing to the factory for damage or defect.
- Report or rectify any stock discrepancies when observed.
- Ensure all physical transactions are replicated on the Stock Control computer system (ERP).
- Ensure warehouse facilities are secure at all times.
- Comply with the company ‘clean as you go’ policy, ensuring yards and loading bays are free from debris and food.
- Liaise with delivery drivers and the public to maintain a harmonious working environment during busy delivery periods.
- Take care of your own Health & Safety and that of those who may be affected by your actions.
- Provide suggestions on ways of improving efficiency and reducing waste.
- Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining the capability to function individually.
- Carry out daily inspections of FLT vehicles against supplied check sheets, report defects.
- Carry out any reasonable request in the most efficient way.
- Respect and value other members of staff to create a positive working environment.
- Have a responsibility for the food safety, quality and legality of finished products in conjunction with the tasks of the role.
- Carry out baling activities from waste generated from production activities.
- Carry out high‑level cleaning where needed.
- Counter‑balance FLT license and experience.
- Previous experience in warehousing desirable.
- Good level of computer literacy.
- Use of Excel and ERP/WMS system.
- High level of numeracy required for all aspects of the role.
