We have an exciting opportunity for a Plumber to join our repairs team in this new position. In this role you will deliver a wide range of plumbing repairs for both tenanted and vacant properties, ensuring a customer service-oriented approach to repair and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing repairs in tenanted and vacant properties according to job tickets and specifications while adhering to regulations and best practices.
- Adopt a "Right First Time" approach, aiming to complete repairs in one visit with high-quality workmanship.
- Organise work efficiently to minimise downtime and communicate any workload issues for reallocation as needed.
- Be available for overtime and participate in a stand-by or call-out rota as arranged with management.
- Use initiative to diagnose and address repairs that may differ from the original job request, seeking approval for unexpected costs or extended timeframes.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship aligned with service specifications and safety procedures while collaborating with the team for efficiency.
Qualifications
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Relevant plumbing certification: City and Guilds Craft Certificate in Plumbing or equivalent (NVQ Level 2).
- Competent experience in all areas typically required of a qualified plumber and related building disciplines.
- Proven experience in a customer-service setting.
- Experience in optimising the number of repairs finished and ensuring multiple repairs are completed in a single visit.
Working Hours & Call-Out
You will work a total of 37 hours per week, scheduled between 08:00 and 19:30 across any five days from Monday to Saturday. The schedule may vary, for example, Monday to Thursday 08:00–16:00, Friday 08:00–15:30. You will be required to be on the call-out rota starting April 2026.
