- Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times during the shift. Enforce adherence to GMP and site compliance standards, maintaining audit readiness. Conduct shift‑based safety checks, briefings, and incident follow‑up. Promote a strong, practical safety culture through daily behaviours and engagement.
- Quality & Production Standards: Ensure all production activities meet required quality standards and specifications. Support investigations (RCA), deviations, and CAPA activities. Drive improvements in right‑first‑time, reducing waste and rework. Escalate quality issues in a timely and structured manner.
- People Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5‑15 operators. Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback. Support training, onboarding, and skill development across the shift team. Drive engagement and foster a positive, accountable team culture.
- Equipment & Process Performance: Work closely with engineering support to ensure equipment reliability. Support delivery of basic asset care and preventative maintenance activities. Identify and respond to downtime issues, escalating where required. Drive adherence to standard operating procedures and process consistency.
- Cost Control & Efficiency: Support effective management of labour and materials within the shift. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Ensure performance improvements do not compromise safety or quality.
