You’ll work with some of the market’s most forward-thinking products and play a key role in how customers around the world discover and experience them. Packaging is one of the most influential brand touchpoints, and in this role, you’ll lead the packaging agenda from a brand perspective – bringing design, format, and storytelling to the forefront. You’ll shape how our products look and feel, ensuring every pack reflects our identity and elevates product understanding and appeal. You’ll take ownership of briefing new artwork, developing creative concepts, and spotting opportunities for new packaging initiatives that push the brand forward. Sustainability will also be central to your work, contributing to long‑term strategies that support THG’s environmental goals and help our brands make responsible choices.
As a Creative Packaging Manager for Myprotein / Myvitamins you will be:
- Responsible for developing design strategies for THG Nutrition’s product portfolio in collaboration with the Brand/creative team, NPD and procurement/supply chain teams.
- Oversee the packaging development process from packaging briefing, to design development (with our agencies), artwork and print.
- Ensure packaging products are developed to the highest standard and final product meet agreed specifications.
- Ensure on-pack copy is customer facing, fit for purpose and compliant.
- Monitor packaging complaints across the range to ensure continuous development of our packaging.
- Benchmark competitor designs to spot opportunities for improvement (formats, customer experience, copy, design).
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve customer experience.
- Liaise with suppliers and the Packaging Procurement teams to find new innovative packaging formats suitable for our range.
- Be the champion of sustainability, ensuring the range is as sustainable as it can be.
- Together with Packaging Procurement and Engineering, identify opportunities to reduce cost while maintaining quality.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- Ideally 2-4 years of experience in a packaging or print production.
- At least 1 year working in brand or product-led marketing.
- Creativity and innovation – a keen visual eye and ability to see the opportunity in novel ideas.
- Strong communication skills and resilience – specifically the ability to co‑ordinate and communicate packaging vision to other members of the team and external partners.
- Interpersonal skills – empathy, ability to get on with and influence a wide variety of people at all levels, including designers, marketing teams, supply chain, trading managers and senior management.
- Drive for results – we are looking for accountable success and results.
- Project Management – ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects at once.
Preferred Requirements
- Interest and knowledge in the sports, health and wellbeing markets.
- Knowledge and passion about sustainability.
- Experience in FMCG or CPG would be preferred.
