This role is ideal for someone who is data-led, commercially curious, and comfortable using SQL/Google BigQuery to build datasets, automate reporting, and conduct deep dives into business performance.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain SQL/BigQuery queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets to support business performance insight.
- Produce and distribute daily, weekly and monthly performance reports that highlight trading trends, risks, and opportunities.

- Conduct sensitivity analysis, scenario modelling and financial modelling to support commercial decision-making.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with commercial and finance stakeholders.
- Partner with Trading, Marketing, Supply Chain and Merchandising teams to ensure decisions across the business drive the desired commercial outcomes.
- Carry out ad-hoc analysis across all areas of the business, often with incomplete datasets and tight deadlines.
- Support business performance reviews and help shape strategic initiatives.
Qualifications and skills
- Highly analytical, data-focused professional with strong commercial awareness and the ability to quickly understand business drivers.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and/or Google BigQuery — comfortable writing queries from scratch to extract and manipulate large datasets.
- Strong financial modelling capability, with experience building clear, scalable models.
- Excellent Excel skills (advanced formulas, PowerQuery, PowerPivot desirable).
- Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and transforming them into clear, actionable insights.
- Confident communicator with the ability to distil complex analysis into simple, business-friendly outputs.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
- Previous experience in a commercial finance, FP&A, trading analytics or data-driven role is beneficial.
