As Social Media Lead, you’ll lead Cult Beauty’s social vision and strategy, shaping how the brand shows up, connects and builds community across every platform.

Sitting at the intersection of content, culture and creativity, you’ll evolve our channel identities, develop distinctive social-first content franchises and turn our wider content and campaign strategy into ideas designed to make an impact on social.

You’ll lead and inspire the social team, championing creative ambition while using audience and performance insights to continually evolve our approach.

As Social Media Lead you’ll

  • Own and evolve Cult Beauty’s overarching organic social media strategy across
  • Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube, Facebook and emerging platforms.
  • Define a clear purpose, audience and creative approach for each social channel, ensuring our content feels distinctive and platform-native.
  • Execute our social-first strategy, identifying how key campaigns, launches, cultural moments and commercial priorities should come to life across social.
  • Lead social-first campaign ideation across key brand and commercial moments, working closely with Content, Creative, Buying, Retail Media and Marketing teams.
  • Own and manage the social media budget, ensuring investment is strategically allocated across creators, tools and external partners to maximise impact and deliver against key objectives.
  • Develop and deliver distinctive, repeatable social-first content franchises that build audience recognition, engagement and brand equity.
  • Lead weekly social ideation and planning sessions, creating a culture of proactive creativity and ensuring the team is consistently bringing forward new ideas.
  • Act as a guardian of Cult Beauty’s social identity, ensuring our tone of voice, visual language and content approach remain consistent, reviewing and signing off weekly content, creative and copy across channels.
  • Identify emerging social trends, platform developments, creators and cultural conversations, translating these into relevant opportunities for our brand.
  • Work closely with the Social Media & Community Manager to ensure strategy translates into an effective and balanced social calendar.
  • Use channel performance, audience behaviour and social listening to identify opportunities, shape future content and continually optimise our strategy.
  • Define social KPIs and success measures, ensuring performance and learnings are clearly communicated back to the wider business.
  • Manage, develop and inspire the Social team, creating clear ownership across
  • channels while encouraging collaboration and shared learning.• Champion social-first thinking across the wider business, helping teams understand how social can build brand relevance, community and commercial impact.

What skills and experience do I need for this role?

  • 4+ years’ experience in a senior social media role within a brand, retailer, agency or editorial environment.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering successful multi-channel organic social strategies.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, Tik Tok and You Tube, including how audiences, creative behaviours and content formats differ by platform.
  • A strong creative instinct with experience developing social-first concepts, campaigns and repeatable content franchises.
  • Deep understanding of social culture, trends, creators and emerging platform behaviours.
  • Experience leading, managing and developing a social media team.
  • Strong understanding of social analytics, with the ability to turn performance data and audience insights into clear strategic and creative actions.
  • Strong creative judgement and confidence giving clear, constructive feedback on social creative and copy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across Content, Creative, Brand, Marketing and Commercial teams.
  • Highly organised and comfortable balancing longer-term strategic thinking with the fast-moving nature of social.
  • A proactive, curious and collaborative approach, with the confidence to challenge convention and continually evolve how a brand shows up socially.
  • A genuine passion for beauty and a strong understanding of the brands, trends, creators and conversations shaping the industry.
