About the Cult Beauty Edits category
The Cult Beauty Edits programme is a key strategic pillar in delivering our mission to be the home of beauty discovery.
This sampling opportunity connects beauty lovers with products they’ll come to know and obsess over from our top hero brands to our newly discovered next big thing.
The programme includes our annual advent calendars, category specific edits and collaborations with brand-aligned 3 rd party partners.
As one of our key USPs, it’s vital that this category continues to evolve as we innovate new ways to drive discovery, generate excitement, and accelerate loyalty across our beauty community.
Why be a Buyer at THG Beauty?
Working closely with the category Buying teams, you will be responsible for leading on the product strategy for the Edits whilst delivering continued sales & profit growth.
You will analyse performance to create and deliver a future strategy that reacts to this, ensuring that our customers are at the heart of every decision made within the buying team.
You will consider how the programme can be used to deliver upon total business and key category objectives.
You’ll play a pivotal role in driving growth and innovation - collaborating across functions, influencing and showcasing plans to senior stakeholders, and driving forward the proposition within the wider Cult Beauty brand to both customers and brand partners.
Buyer , you’ll
- Partner with the Buying Manager (line manager) on annual range planning and budget management, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
- Lead the sourcing and negotiation strategy for edits in collaboration with Buyers that hold the relationship with suppliers
- Collaborate with category Buying teams to align brand plans and optimise commercial negotiations whilst delivering category objectives
- Work alongside packaging buyer and design team to source packaging and merchandising to include within edits
- Collaborate with wider marketing teams to ensure edit brand collaborations are best in class
- Work with compliance team to reduce non-compliant deliveries and ensure new requirements are fed back to team
- Represent the Edit programme and sampling in key new business meetings and partnership strategy discussions with both leading and up and coming beauty brands.
- Be the product lead for Edits in cross-functional forums with SLT and wider stakeholders, shaping product strategy and vision.
- Own and evolve the Edit pitch process
- Ensure timely delivery against the critical path by collaborating with Merchandising and Packaging Buyer counterparts to enable on time launches
- Stay ahead of emerging beauty trends, translating insights into innovative product curations and collaborations.
- Continuous monitoring and review of business performance to analyse sales patterns, advises teams and ensures appropriate action is taken to unforeseen sales reactions.
