Job Title: Front of House Assistant / Barista
Reports to: Food and Beverage Supervisor
Location: Myprotein Store, Abbey House, 74 Mosley Street, Manchester, M2 3LW
Shift Pattern: 6:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Sunday on a rota basis (20 hours per week, depending on business need), including potential weekend work
Starting Date: September 2025

The Myprotein Store is the first brick & mortar flagship store for the brand. Located in the heart of Manchester city centre, it combines a retail space with a unique blend of fitness, nutrition and lifestyle, including a premium café experience. Customers can enjoy expertly made coffee, healthy snacks, and Myprotein product sampling, all within a sleek and community‑focused environment.
Role Overview
As a Front of House Assistant / Barista, you’ll be the face of the Myprotein café experience, creating high‑quality drinks, delivering exceptional service, and helping bring the brand to life for every customer who walks through the door. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role ideal for someone with a passion for great coffee, attention to detail, and a positive, can‑do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft hot beverages to the highest standards, consistently delivering great quality and presentation
- Ensure coffee grind, dose and shot times meet brand specifications – including latte art and calibration
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the café
- Keep all customer and back‑of‑house areas clean, tidy and safe, reporting any hazards or incidents
- Support food production and snack preparation to ensure a consistent customer experience
- Follow all Food Safety and Health & Safety standards, completing relevant checks and paperwork
- Receive and store deliveries correctly, and ensure products are labelled and rotated appropriately
- Accurately charge for all purchases and follow all store policies around till use and stock control
- Support wider store activations and customer engagement initiatives as needed
- Be flexible and willing to support across other store areas when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Barista in a fast‑paced coffee shop environment
- Knowledge of coffee training and maintaining high standards of preparation
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for customer experience
- Positive, adaptable and willing to work as part of a close‑knit team
>Confident in producing latte art and calibrating espresso machines
