About the Procurement team and the Role The Indirect Procurement team supports departments in delivering innovative, externally supported solutions and ensuring we make commercially astute decisions across our supply ecosystem. This role sits within the business services category, who manage all procurement relating to our Supply Chain, Facilities, Legal, Finance, Consultancy and HR. This role reports into the Head of Indirect Procurement. Scope of the role covers the full group. This role is suited to someone with strong previous experience in buying across multiple sectors. The candidate does not need to have experience in all categories but should be comfortable applying procurement skills across the range of sub-categories. The ideal candidate will be capable of working confidently with senior business leaders to ensure THG invests in the most suitable products and services.
As a Buyer – Business Services you will:
- Negotiate contractual clauses ensuring risk is appropriately agreed
- Execute strategic sourcing, choosing the correct channels and vendors
- Identify opportunities to structurally improve cost and productivity through supplier management and solution selection
- Build business partnerships across the group and liaise with functional leaders
- Communicate contractual risk and opportunity to stakeholders
- Demonstrate strong experience in procurement across multiple sectors
- Show strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Exhibit excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in managing procurement processes and systems
- Experience running and managing complex tenders
- High level of commercial acumen
- Highly competent negotiator
