Why be a Mid‑Weight Copywriter at THG Beauty?

Cult Beauty is looking for a creative Mid‑Weight Copywriter to join the brand team. This role will play a key part in shaping engaging copy across multiple marketing channels while upholding the Cult Beauty tone of voice. The ideal candidate will have strong marketing copywriting experience, a passion for beauty, and a deep understanding of social content and emerging trends. They will be responsible for delivering compelling storytelling across campaigns, social platforms and Cult Beauty Edit launches, while supporting wider business copy requests.

Responsibilities

  • Own and write social‑first copy across all social media channels
  • Create engaging, on‑brand content tailored to different platforms and audiences
  • Contribute fresh creative ideas during content planning and campaign brainstorms
  • Stay up to date with current social trends, cultural moments and beauty conversations
  • Lead copywriting and storytelling for Cult Beauty Edit boxes across all marketing touchpoints
  • Uphold and protect the Cult Beauty tone of voice across all written communications
  • Support wider marketing initiatives with campaign and promotional copy where required
  • Respond to ad‑hoc copy briefs for affiliates, PR and trade requests
  • Collaborate closely with social, creative, marketing and brand teams
  • Ensure all copy is accurate, consistent and aligned with brand guidelines

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience in a copywriting or content role within marketing, editorial or brand environments
  • Strong social‑first writing skills with an understanding of platform‑specific content
  • Passion for beauty, skincare, makeup and industry trends
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of tone of voice and brand guardianship
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
