We are looking for a talented and ambitious building surveyor to join our growing team based in the South covering a client base primarily throughout the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Building Surveyor to join a small, developing and progressive multi-disciplinary consultancy, specialising primarily in the Education Sector with a developing commercial clientele.
The ideal candidate will ideally possess 1-2 yearsβ experience, or a graduate/junior level with good work experience including building condition surveys and project work. You will be exposed to a number of the following:
- Condition Surveys
- Project Prioritisation and Feasibility
- Project design / CAD work
- Specification Writing and Tendering
- Planned Protective Maintenance
- JCT Contract Administration
- Cost Planning
- Project Management
- Covering whole project lifecycle from inception through to completion
- Contractor and Client Liaison
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We need an enthusiastic and personable individual to work within our surveying consultancy, which has a strong education sector focus. The right candidate will be client facing, resourceful and proactive. Candidates with 1-2 years of practical experience in our core field of expertise is desirable; however, we would consider graduate candidates with a genuine desire to gain experience in our sector, having a demonstrated ability to learn quickly with a proactive approach to completing tasks.
Typical duties would include project prioritisation and design including some CAD work, specification writing and tendering, cost analysis, condition surveys, and options appraisals. Bid writing may also develop, so any experience here would be advantageous.
