We are currently working with a well established groundworks and civil engineering contractor delivering large groundworks and infrastructure schemes across London. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Engineer to support the delivery of multiple projects ranging from £15m – £30m groundwork packages. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work and long term project stability.

The Role

As Senior Engineer, you will play a key role supporting the site management team and overseeing engineering operations across major groundworks and civil engineering packages. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and mentoring Site Engineers and Junior Engineers
  • Overseeing setting out and QA processes
  • Reviewing drawings and ensuring works are delivered in line with specification
  • Managing technical queries and design coordination
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently
  • Supporting the Project Manager and Contracts Manager with project delivery
  • Maintaining accurate site records and quality documentation

Experience Required

  • Proven experience working as a Senior Engineer or experienced Site Engineer within groundworks or civil engineering
  • Strong setting out and technical knowledge across drainage, foundations, infrastructure
  • Experience working on large groundwork or infrastructure projects
  • Ability to manage junior engineers and coordinate site engineering teams
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
