My client is now looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor experienced in groundworks and civil engineering, required for a thriving business based in Surrey.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will work as part of the growing and experienced Commercial team to ensure the prompt financial completion of projects throughout the South of the UK.
We are looking for Quantity Surveyors with at least 3 years' experience in the groundwork / Civil industry.
Job Role:
- Providing commercial support for Groundworks and Civil Engineering projects
- Understand the contractual requirements of project documents including the roles and responsibilities of all involved
- Liaise with the client, client representatives and other 3rd parties on commercial issues
- Manage the client to receive information required, e.g. Payment Certificate, variation instructions, etc
- Cost management for project/section of works, identify and pricing variations
- Understand forecast cost to completion
- Preparation of interim valuations and final accounts
- Risk and opportunity management for project/section of works
- Management of known and newly identified risks and opportunities
- Identification and implementation of mitigation measures
- Ensure all involved in procurement for project understand allowances for items they are responsible for and the procedures to be followed
- Negotiate agreements including interim and final accounts
- Prepare monthly forecasts
