About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
- Collect, review and process weekly payroll data from multiple sites, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Validate timesheets, attendance records, overtime and other payroll-related information.
- Respond to employee queries regarding pay, tax, deductions and payroll discrepancies.
- Assist with statutory payroll requirements, including PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and pension contributions.
- Support the administration of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), including subcontractor payments and deductions.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and update payroll systems as required.
- Process new starters, leavers and changes to employee details.
- Assist with payroll reconciliations and payroll reporting.
- Ensure payroll activities comply with company policies and relevant legislation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee and payroll information.
- Liaise with Operations and HR to resolve payroll-related queries and ensure accurate payroll data is received.
- Support month-end and year-end payroll processes.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

- An interest in learning payroll processes, including PAYE and CIS.
