THG LABS offers a unique end-to-end service specialising in the development and supply of premium beauty and cosmetic products to highly respected brands and retailers on a global scale. We now have over 400 talented individuals working across our sites in Trowbridge, Frome, and Radstock, including a state-of-the-art laboratory and a 98,000-square-foot, ever-developing manufacturing site.
We are seeking a confident and proactive Senior Planner to take a leadership role within our Planning team at our Frome site. This position requires someone who can successfully manage their own workload while delegating effectively, ensuring team objectives are achieved alongside individual performance.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm & Friday 8am-4.30pm (Full-time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Working across both Bulk and Fill/Pack Planning, the Senior Planner will act as a trusted deputy to the Senior Planning Manager, providing operational support and leadership while driving accountability, responsibility, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Lead and support the Planning team to deliver short- and long-term production plans aligned to business strategy.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Planning Manager, highlighting constraints, risks, capacity, and resource requirements.
- Attend daily SIC meetings to ensure production priorities are clear and on track.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date works orders, ensuring revenue and delivery targets are supported.
- Oversee and optimise the Planning system, balancing machine capacity, labour availability, and campaign efficiency.
- Spend regular time within production areas to strengthen operational understanding and planning effectiveness.
- Present data and insights at Sales & Operational and S&OP meetings, deputising for the Senior Planning Manager as required.
- Implement, monitor, and report on KPIs, driving departmental improvements and owning team successes.
- Support recruitment activities, including interviewing and onboarding.
- Act as a role model and mentor, fostering a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
