The predicted salary is between 11.7 - 14.3 £ per hour.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Lifeguard to join us at Hale Country Club & Spa on a part-time basis, working 16 hours (2 shifts) per week. Hale Country Club & Spa offers an exclusive environment dedicated to enhancing well-being and lifestyle. The club features a state-of-the-art gym, luxurious spa facilities, and a range of wellness services designed to help members achieve their fitness and relaxation goals.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising swimming activities and ensuring that safety procedures, guidelines, and policies are followed.
- Warning of unsafe activities and enforcing water safety policies and pool regulations.
- Providing first aid in the event of injury, rescuing swimmers in danger or distress, and administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or artificial respiration, if necessary.
- Assessing conditions for safety and developing an action plan for aquatics emergencies.
- Inspecting pool equipment, facilities, and water to ensure they are usable and safe.
- Supervising and assisting in cleaning equipment and facilities.
- Opening and closing the pool each day, depending on schedule and hours.
- Instructing or assisting classes in the fundamentals of swimming.
- Resolving scheduling conflicts to ensure the pool environment is safe for competitions.
Requirements:
- Advanced swimming abilities.
- First Aid trained.
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) awarded by the Royal Life Saving Society.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Evidence of continued self-development within fitness.
- Flexible in your approach to a working environment and ability to work on a rota.
- An interest in swimming and leisure facilities.
