We are looking to expand our local pool of face-to-face freelance interpreters to support vital public sector, NHS, and local council appointments in the Southeast London area. Due to surging local demand, we are prioritising interpreters fluent in Turkish, Arabic, Ukrainian, Kurdish (Sorani), Dari (Afghan Persian), Bulgarian, or Spanish.

What You Will Do

  • Provide on-site, face-to-face spoken interpreting services for local medical practices, NHS ICB centres, and Bromley Council social care/safeguarding appointments.
  • Convey accurate meanings, nuances, and cultural context in real-time.
  • Maintain strict professional ethics, confidentiality (GDPR), and impartiality during assignments.

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in English and at least one of the priority languages listed above.
  • Physically based in or easily able to commute to Bexley (DA17), Bromley (BR1), Beckenham (BR3), Orpington (BR5), or Penge/Anerley (SE20).
  • Proven interpreting experience (preferably in public sector, health, or local government settings).
  • A valid Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to undergo one).
  • Reliable transport (own car preferred) to ensure strict punctuality.
