Are you looking to make a difference in mental health care? We are recruiting UK-based freelance remote interpreters fluent in Slovak or Kurdish (Sorani) to support remote psychological therapies (NHS Talking Therapies/CBT sessions) for major national healthcare contracts.

What You Will Do

  • Provide Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) and Telephone Interpreting (OPI) for mental health assessments and therapy sessions.
  • Navigate highly sensitive, clinical, and psychiatric terminology with precision, empathy, and professional distance.

Requirements

  • Excellent spoken fluency in English and either Slovak or Kurdish (Sorani).
  • A recognized qualification in interpreting (DPSI, Community Interpreting Level 3+, or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting within mental health, psychotherapy, or CBT environments.
  • Strict Technology Setup: Quiet, private home office (free of background noise), reliable high-speed fibre broadband (minimum 20 Mbps download/upload), and a dual-earpiece headset with a noise-cancelling microphone.
