The Working People's Theatre uses improvisation and theatrical training to help people connect, communicate, and grow.

We create live experiences and content that bring bold, human storytelling into workplaces and communities.

As we grow, we're building a stronger presence across events and social media, and we need someone brilliant to lead the charge.

About the Role

The role is full-time, 4 days a week, and this is a dual position at the heart of our business.

  • As the Events Lead, you'll plan and run standout events across corporate, theatre, and wider community settings, from first concept to final curtain.
  • As a Content Creator, you'll follow the social media team's content plan and bring it to life, working with freelance videographers and editors to produce it.

You'll also collaborate closely with the social media team on brand campaigns.

  • This role is perfect for you if you like to think big, plan with attention to detail, and know how to turn a live moment into a lasting story.

Events Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver a range of events, including corporate workshops and showcases, theatre productions and performances, and wider community or public events, from concept through execution.
  • Own event logistics, budgets, vendor management, run of show, and on-the-day leadership across every event type.
  • Build and maintain relationships with venues, partners, sponsors, and vendors to keep every event running smoothly.
  • Set the run of show and lead the on-the-day teams to make sure every event lands exactly as planned.
  • Gather feedback and turnout data after each event and use it to raise the bar for the next one.

Content Responsibilities

  • Follow the social media team's content plan and execute it across events and wider brand moments.
  • Collaborate with the social media team on brand campaigns, bringing an events and theatre lens to the ideas.
  • Direct freelance videographers, photographers, and editors to capture and produce content, so you're setting the vision rather than doing the hands-on shooting or editing yourself.
  • Coordinate content capture around live events, making sure key moments are captured for the social media team to use.
  • Track content performance and engagement alongside the social media team, and use the data to sharpen what comes next.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to make sure events and content always tell one consistent story.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience planning and executing events, ideally across corporate, theatre, or live experience settings.
  • Strong content execution experience, with a track record of bringing campaigns and content plans to life.
  • Confidence directing freelancers or external creatives to deliver on a vision, without needing to do the editing yourself.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple moving pieces at once.
  • A creative eye and a genuine passion for storytelling, theatre, or experiential work.

Why Join Us

You'll get to shape unforgettable events across corporate, theatre, and community settings, and own the story we tell the world.

You'll have real creative ownership, a close-knit team behind you, and the chance to help build something with genuine purpose.

This is a rare seat at the table for someone who wants their work to matter.
