Apprentice – Operations and Logistics Coordinator
We are a family-run business located in Edgware & Barnet, North West London, selling and hiring a wide range of outdoor structures including Marquees, Garden Igloos, Party Tents, Stretch Tents, and more. Our aim is to bring life outdoors by making the great outdoors even greater. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as an Operations and Logistics Coordinator.
The role involves managing daily warehouse operations, handling deliveries, responding to customer inquiries, and setting up marquee hire equipment at various local sites.
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and versatile Operations and Logistics Coordinator to oversee warehouse activities, ensure safety and security, manage inventory, assist with equipment setup, and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
- Assist in erecting and dismantling structures, ensuring safety and security.
- Load and unload equipment carefully from vehicles.
- Inspect equipment for damage and report issues.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Deliver products locally when required.
- Provide management coverage as needed.
- Improve warehouse processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
Client Servicing
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing excellent service.
- Manage client collections and payments at the warehouse.
Administration
- Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence management.
- Assist with marketing efforts, including social media and content creation.
- Prepare reports on warehouse performance and inventory.
- Maintain procedures manual.
- Support online presence on Google, eBay, and Amazon.
- Contribute content to the website and social media pages.
