An established and growing UK compliance and water treatment provider is seeking an experienced Senior Water Treatment Technician to join its regional field team. This role suits someone who enjoys working independently, covering a variety of sites, and taking ownership of technical delivery while being backed by a supportive management structure. You will be working across commercial and public-sector environments with long-term stability and clear progression opportunities. A company vehicle is provided once training and onboarding are complete.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive water treatment works across multiple client sites
- Service, test and chemically dose closed systems, including heating and chilled water systems
- Undertake steam boiler water treatment activities, including testing, chemical control and system optimisation
- Install, commission, service and fault-find chemical dosing equipment such as: Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) systems, Silver-stabilised hydrogen peroxide systems, Ultralox and similar disinfection technologies
- Maintain and service filtration systems (cartridge, bag, strainers and backwash filters)
- Conduct servicing and performance checks on UV disinfection systems
- Carry out routine monitoring and basic fault-finding on RO and DI plant and associated equipment
- Complete site records, test results and service reports accurately and on time
- Work in line with COSHH, method statements and water safety guidance
- Communicate effectively with clients, account managers and internal teams regarding findings and remedial actions
- Maintain tools, equipment, stock levels and vehicle standards
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Demonstrable experience in water treatment engineering (essential)
- Strong understanding of Legionella control and water safety legislation (essential)
- Mechanical and electrical competence relating to pumps, controllers and instrumentation (essential)
- Comfortable working autonomously once trained
- Professional, organised and customer-focused approach
- Commitment to safe working practices and quality standards
