Murphy is recruiting for a Stakeholder Advisor to join our growing Infrastructure team, delivering a major water infrastructure project in partnership with United Utilities, as part of the AMP8 programme.
A day in the life of a Murphy Stakeholder Advisor:
- Support stakeholder analysis to ensure stakeholder drivers, requirements and influences are known and taken into account throughout a project.
- Support the development of a Stakeholder Engagement Plan for each project, that aligns with the Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, with support from the Project Manager and Stakeholder Manager.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, to support all engagement with stakeholders including the client, local authorities, statutory and non-statutory bodies (including environment & technical organisations), industry & business, land & property, communities and other parties to establish strong working relationships.
- Be a point of contact for all stakeholders for problem solving and communication between Murphy and clients.
- Support any third party consultant engaged by either Murphy or our client to ensure a joined up approach to stakeholder management and/or public relations.
- Support the application of all relevant consents and approvals.
- Undertake stakeholder mapping and prepare communications to stakeholders and respond to stakeholder enquiries.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the project team, providing briefings and support to technical teams for meetings with stakeholders.
- Attend stakeholder meetings with technical team members and ensure feedback of stakeholder responses and requests to technical teams are responded to within agreed timescales.
- Ensure an accurate audit trail is maintained for all stakeholder engagement and all contact/activities are recorded on stakeholder database.
- Report progress and updates on a weekly basis.
- Attend Stakeholder and Customer meetings both internal and external.
- Provide input to the development of tenders as required.
- Lead projects on the adherence to our Social Value Development Plan by overseeing their initiatives and ensuring targets are met; with the support of others, identify opportunities to increase the number of employees taking volunteer days in cooperation and alignment to client and company targets.

- Experience working on water based projects is desirable.
- High attention to detail with a right first time ethos.
