Murphy is recruiting for a Design Coordinator to work with the Energy Team on the National Grid, HWUP Project. A day in the life of a Murphy Design Coordinator:

  • Review submissions as directed for quality and sufficiency.
  • Lead design engineering matters on small/medium sized project/s as directed.
  • Monitor, co-ordinate, and manage the design by internal designers, consultants, suppliers, and interface contractors as appropriate.
  • Ensure that Aconex (or client approved alternative CDE system) is adequately set up and being utilised correctly by all designers, site operations and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor, track and report on Design progress against the project programme.
  • Oversee appropriate consideration of constructability and permanent works in relation to Temporary Works.
  • Review design progress and detail using CAD/BIM tools.
  • Monitoring and reporting on Design NCRs and associated close out.
  • Liaise with the wider team such as Surveyors, Buyers, Contract Managers, Project Managers, Site Managers and Estimators to engender a team approach for each project.
