Murphy is recruiting for a Emerging Talent Business Partner , the role will primarily focus on Murphy Apprenticeship Programmes.
The Emerging Talent team at Murphy sits nestled inside the wider People function comprised of individuals with enduring passion for people development and their experience in a professional environment.
The Emerging Talent Business Partner role undertakes a variety of tasks – all with the continual focus on the attraction, recruitment and retention of apprentices within Murphy, with a passion to further grow and innovate the business’ approach to the Emerging Talent pipelines.
A day in the life of a Murphy Emerging Talent Business Partner
- Support the People Partners in effective implementation of apprentice management practices in the business
- Lead the end-to-end attraction, recruitment, programme roll-off and retention of apprentices, to create an effective and impactful experience across the full ET cycle
- Organise and run the induction as well as other agreed events throughout the year
- Maintain strong relationships with apprenticeship providers and drive outreach engagement activities with external educationalinstitutions
- Act as a strong advocate for the Murphy at 75 people plan, particularly identifying and helping deliver ways to increase our diverse apprentice population and their benefit to the business
- Manage contract relationships, quality assurance and record keeping of the Apprentice Levy Funded programmes
- Act as the lead contact for Murphy apprenticeship input into bids/work winning
- Work closely and collaboratively with project-based Murphy social value leads maximising the opportunity to build the Murphy brand in the wider society
- Agree the framework for apprentice development, communicate and organise development sessions, providing an unparalleled development experience

- Excellent communication skills with ability to assimilate information quickly and advise impacts/opportunities
- Confident communicator who is comfortable facilitating to large groups across key emerging talent events and training sessions
- An understanding of relevant funding streams and grants, the CITB and apprenticeship levies, and skills cards like CSCS
- Proven ability to attract, recruit and engage with trade specialist apprentices
- Full driving licence and available to travel across the UK
