This peer-to-peer role is an exciting opportunity to help new resident students find their community here at the University of Bath. As part of the ResLife Team, you will assist in delivering our year‑round events programme. We provide students with a range of events, from trips exploring the local area to workshops trying new skills, all with the focus of helping them make connections and enjoy life in halls.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering and organising year‑round events, including trips, workshops and social activities.
  • Help new resident students find their community and make connections.
  • Contribute your own event ideas and support marketing and communications.

About You

We are looking for returning students, either undergraduates in their second year onwards, or postgraduate students who have experience living in Bath and ideally within our university halls.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Confidence interacting with many people on a regular basis.
  • Comfortable in a forward‑facing role.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and outgoing.

Hours & Pay

Official duties begin mid‑September 2026 in line with arrivals weekend and continue until June 2027, with compulsory training on 10 and 11 September 2026. Ambassadors are also expected to remain in Bath during July and August 2027 to support postgraduate and pre‑sessional students. Pay: CW2 (£12.15 per hour). Hours and shift availability vary throughout the year, with busy periods in September, October, February and March, and quieter periods during the Winter and Easter breaks.

Assessment Process

Shortlisted students will be invited to take part in our Assessment Centres at the end of April 2026 as the final stage of the application process, taking place on campus.
