Our House AP is a small, therapeutic Alternative Provision supporting young people who may have experienced trauma, anxiety, SEMH needs, or difficulties accessing mainstream education. We believe that strong relationships, a nurturing environment, and meaningful experiences create the foundation for positive change.

Responsibilities

  • You will build trusted relationships, help young people develop confidence and resilience, and support them to engage in learning, life skills, outdoor activities and personal development opportunities.
  • We are looking for a Mentor to join our team, supporting students both on-site and within the local community.

Qualifications

  • Is calm, patient and compassionate.
  • Can build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Is adaptable, proactive and enjoys working both indoors and outdoors.
  • Has an understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Shares our belief that every young person can succeed with the right support.
  • Holds a full driving licence (desirable).

Experience

Relevant experience working with children and young people is desirable, particularly within education, youth work, care, outdoor learning, therapeutic services or SEND settings.
