We are looking for an E-commerce & Affiliate Monetization Lead to build and own our e-commerce and affiliate monetization direction across some of the world’s largest social media channels, while also supporting e-commerce initiatives for our brand clients. This is a hands-on ownership role. You will identify opportunities, define the roadmap, implement commerce and affiliate integrations yourself, and be accountable for the revenue they generate. You will work across platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Amazon, TikTok, Instagram, and Shopify, connecting high-volume social traffic with scalable commerce opportunities.
You will design and launch pilots, build the underlying tracking and attribution infrastructure, analyze commercial performance, and decide what should be scaled, improved, or discontinued. You will also work directly with platform partners and support client-facing teams in developing e-commerce solutions for external brands. The role will initially operate as a standalone function, with the opportunity to build processes, define the future team structure, and grow into leading the wider e-commerce function as the direction scales.
Responsibilities:
- Own the e-commerce and affiliate monetization direction end-to-end, from opportunity assessment and roadmap development to implementation, operation, optimization, and revenue reporting.
- Configure and launch commerce and affiliate integrations across large-scale YouTube, Facebook, and other social media channels.
- Connect social content and audiences with marketplaces and affiliate programs such as Amazon Associates, TikTok Shop, Instagram Shop, Shopify, and other relevant platforms.
- Set up and manage product feeds, catalogs, deep links, tracking infrastructure, and affiliate attribution.
- Design and run monetization pilots with clear success criteria, using performance data to determine what should be scaled, optimized, or discontinued.
- Monitor revenue, RPM, conversion, attribution, and other commercial performance indicators and translate results into clear recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows, reduce manual operational work, and use AI tools to improve efficiency and performance.
- Own and maintain commerce integrations, troubleshoot technical and tracking issues, and ensure reliable ongoing operation.
- Support commercial teams with client-facing e-commerce initiatives, including opportunity scoping, pitch support, and translating technical commerce solutions into clear recommendations for brand clients.
- Work directly with platform and marketplace partner teams, including Amazon, TikTok, Meta, and other partners, to unlock opportunities, resolve escalations, and improve commercial terms and capabilities.
- Present revenue outcomes, priorities, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and clearly defend investment and prioritization decisions.
- Document successful approaches and turn them into scalable playbooks, processes, and operating models.
- As the function grows, define the required team structure, build the business case for additional resources, and lead the development of the e-commerce function.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with at least two major commerce or affiliate ecosystems, such as YouTube Shopping, Facebook/Meta commerce, Amazon Associates, TikTok Shop, Shopify, or Instagram Shop.
- Proven experience monetizing high-volume social media traffic through e-commerce or affiliate models, ideally across YouTube and/or Facebook.
- Practical experience implementing commerce integrations end-to-end, rather than solely managing existing accounts or external providers.
- Proven track record of owning a monetization direction, including defining priorities, executing initiatives, measuring results, and adapting the roadmap based on performance.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce and affiliate mechanics, including product catalogs, product feeds, deep linking, commission structures, tracking, attribution windows, traffic quality, and platform integrations.
- Strong technical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to independently configure, launch, operate, and troubleshoot commerce systems.
- Commercial mindset and confidence working toward measurable revenue, RPM, conversion, and monetization outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize opportunities across multiple channels, platforms, and initiatives and clearly communicate the reasoning behind those decisions.
- Strong analytical skills and a test-and-learn mindset, with the ability to define success criteria, evaluate results, and make evidence-based decisions.
- Ability to communicate technical commerce setups clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership and external brand clients.
- Strong process-building skills, with the ability to document successful approaches and turn them into repeatable, scalable workflows.
- Comfortable operating autonomously in an environment where the roadmap and playbook are not already defined.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Experience with AliExpress integrations or Amazon Marketplace is an advantage.
- Experience using automation and AI tools to improve e-commerce workflows and operational performance is an advantage.
- Experience supporting client pitches or scoping e-commerce solutions for external brands is an advantage.
- Previous experience hiring, mentoring, or leading a small team, or clear potential to grow into function leadership, is an advantage.
Benefits:
- Flexible Engagement Structure: This opportunity is offered under an independent service-provider agreement, giving you the freedom to shape how you deliver your expertise.
- Location Freedom: You can deliver services from any suitable location that supports high-quality outcomes.
- Global Network and Inspiring Projects: You’ll collaborate with a diverse international network of professionals across 85+ countries.
- Smooth Collaboration and Project Support: We provide modern collaboration platforms, clear project coordination, and streamlined processes.
- Make a Global Impact: Your expertise will contribute to initiatives that influence audiences worldwide.
