Known for its warm service, vibrant atmosphere, and timeless Italian cuisine, Sale e Pepe continues to offer guests a memorable dining experience in the heart of Knightsbridge. We are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Waiter to join our front-of-house team.
The Role
As a Commis Waiter, you will support the waiting team in delivering smooth, professional, and friendly service to our guests. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting or developing their career in hospitality, with the chance to learn from an experienced team in a busy and respected restaurant environment. You will assist with table service, food running, mise en place, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Waiters and Head Waiters during service
- Assist with setting up the restaurant before service
- Run food and drinks to tables efficiently and professionally
- Clear, reset, and maintain tables to a high standard
- Ensure the restaurant floor remains clean, organised, and well presented
- Help prepare service stations and keep them fully stocked
- Respond to guest requests in a polite and helpful manner
- Learn the menu, service standards, and restaurant procedures
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team
- Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and licensing standards
About You
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential
- Passion for hospitality and guest service
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent team player
- Reliable, punctual, and well presented
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK
