MA/NA Mayfair is seeking an exceptional Bartender to join our opening team and help shape one of London's most exciting new luxury dining destinations. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of mana – the invisible life-force that exists within all things – MA/NA is a restaurant where exceptional ingredients, craftsmanship and genuine hospitality come together to create unforgettable experiences.
Working alongside an outstanding bar and restaurant team, the Bartender will play a vital role in delivering world-class drinks and warm, intuitive service. Whether preparing perfectly balanced cocktails, recommending premium sake, Japanese whisky or fine wines, or creating memorable guest interactions, the Bartender will be central to every guest's experience. The Role
As a Bartender, you will:
- Prepare and serve exceptional cocktails, wines, spirits, sake, beers and premium non-alcoholic drinks
- Deliver warm, knowledgeable and engaging service throughout every shift
- Guide guests through our drinks menu, making recommendations with confidence
- Maintain exceptional presentation and cleanliness of the bar
- Ensure all drinks are prepared consistently to specification
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements
- Work closely with the restaurant team to deliver seamless guest experiences
- Follow all food safety, licensing and health & safety procedures
- Contribute ideas to continually improve the guest experience
About You
We're looking for a Bartender who has:
- Previous experience as a Bartender in a premium restaurant, luxury hotel or cocktail bar
- Excellent cocktail knowledge and strong classic cocktail techniques
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- A positive, energetic and friendly personality
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to remain calm under pressure during busy services
- A high standard of personal presentation
- A desire to learn about Japanese ingredients, sake and premium spirits
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
Experience with Japanese beverages, premium spirits or fine dining is advantageous but not essential. Passion, attitude and personality are equally important.
