About Sale e Pepe

We are now looking for an accomplished Assistant General Manager who can help lead the restaurant day‑to‑day, inspire the team and consistently deliver an exceptional guest experience.
The role
As Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager and wider management team to oversee all aspects of the restaurant operation. This is a hands‑on leadership position. You will be visible on the floor, confident leading busy services and comfortable making decisions in a fast‑paced, high‑end environment.
- Support the General Manager with the overall day‑to‑day operation of Sale e Pepe
- Lead, motivate and develop the front‑of‑house team
- Maintain exceptional standards of service, hospitality and presentation
- Build genuine relationships with our guests, including our regular and VIP clientele
- Take ownership of busy services and ensure the restaurant operates smoothly
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and development of the team
- Drive commercial performance while maintaining the guest experience
- Work closely with the kitchen and senior leadership team
- Support with rotas, labour management, stock control and operational administration
- Help create a positive, accountable and high‑performing culture
About you
We are looking for an Assistant General Manager with significant experience within premium, luxury or high‑volume restaurants. You will be a confident and engaging leader who understands that exceptional hospitality comes from both attention to detail and genuine personality.
- Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager or similar senior restaurant leadership role
- Experience within premium or high‑end hospitality
- Strong operational and commercial awareness
- Excellent people‑management and team‑development skills
- Confidence managing high-volume services without compromising standards
- A natural ability to build relationships with guests
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for restaurants, hospitality and service
