We are looking for an experienced HR Manager UK to take full ownership of the HR function and support the continued development of the organisation.

Your Role

As HR Manager UK, you are fully responsible for the HR function within the United Kingdom. You operate with full ownership and act as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters. You will work closely with the UK Director, Finance, Legal and external HR partners to ensure HR supports both operational and strategic business objectives. You act as a strategic partner to management while ensuring strong operational execution across all HR processes. You will play a key role in building a structured, compliant and future-proof HR environment that supports business performance, employee engagement and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership
    • Develop and implement the UK HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
    • Translate organisational goals into clear HR priorities and action plans.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to management on all People & Culture topics.
    • Lead, coach and develop the UK HR team and ensure effective prioritisation of workloads.
    • Drive continuous improvement and professionalisation of HR practices.
    • Lead HR projects and organisational development initiatives.
  • HR Operations & Service Delivery
    • Ensure effective execution of the full employee lifecycle (hire to retire).
    • Oversee HR administration, contracts, onboarding and offboarding processes.
    • Safeguard HR data quality, reporting and HR system management.
    • Ensure consistent and high-quality HR service delivery across UK operations.
    • Monitor HR KPIs including absenteeism, turnover, employee engagement and workforce planning.
    • Use data-driven insights to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Governance, Compliance & Employee Relations
    • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and internal policies.
    • Safeguard HR governance, policies and procedures.
    • Translate HR policies into practical procedures, templates and work instructions.
    • Act as escalation point for complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary cases, grievances, absence management and conflict resolution.
    • Manage risk and ensure a compliant, structured and professional HR environment.
  • Business Partnering
    • Support and challenge managers on performance, absenteeism and team development.
    • Advise on organisational changes, workforce planning and people strategy.
    • Strengthen leadership capability across the business.
    • Translate HR strategy into practical and scalable solutions.
    • Support succession planning and organisational development initiatives.
  • Recruitment, Development & Reward
    • Manage recruitment strategy, agency partnerships and hiring requirements.
    • Support workforce planning in line with operational demand.
    • Drive learning and development initiatives, with a focus on leadership development and capability building.
    • Act as owner of compensation and benefits topics and advise on individual cases.
    • Work closely with Finance on personnel costs, workforce planning and remuneration-related matters.
  • Stakeholder & Supplier Management
    • Build strong relationships with managers, employees and external stakeholders.
    • Manage relationships with external HR suppliers and service providers.
    • Ensure effective collaboration with Finance, Legal and other business functions.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant HR experience, preferably including experience managing a team.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, absence management and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with HR systems, HR reporting and data analysis.
  • Experience in a multi-site operational environment such as logistics, supply chain, warehousing or industrial operations.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
  • Experience improving, structuring and implementing HR processes.
  • Experience within an international organisation is an advantage.
