Purpose of the Role
The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies within the organisation. The role ensures a safe working environment, promotes a strong safety culture, and guarantees compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Policies & Procedures
Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with applicable legislation and regulations, in collaboration with the (Q)HSE Manager. Ensure compliance with internal standards and external HSE requirements. - Risk Assessment
Conduct risk assessments and identify potential workplace hazards. Develop and implement effective risk control measures and mitigation strategies. - Training & Awareness
Organise and deliver HSE training sessions and toolbox talks. Promote awareness and engagement in HSE culture throughout the organisation. - Audits & Inspections
Perform internal audits and workplace inspections to ensure compliance. Report findings and provide actionable recommendations to the (Q)HSE Manager. - Incident Management
Investigate accidents and incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain incident records and provide regular reports to management. - Communication
Act as the main point of contact for HSE-related matters. Communicate HSE updates, policies, and best practices across the organisation. - Continuous Improvement
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in HSE performance and processes. Support the development of a proactive and positive safety culture.

Job Requirements
NEBOSH certification (required), relevant qualification in Health & Safety or related field, proven experience in a similar HSE role, strong knowledge of applicable HSE legislation and regulations, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities, proactive, hands-on, and results-driven approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, high level of flexibility and adaptability, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
