Thermotraffic is a major player in the world of multi-temperature warehousing and logistics. Key to our success is the dynamic adoption of technologies such as the Warehouse Management System (WMS) we operate at six different cold store sites in England. A large and international structure
Thermotraffic is a 100% subsidiary of the Nichirei Corporation. Our objective is to offer a seamless, end-to-end multi-temperature warehousing and logistics chain. In doing so we provide services to importers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and distributors. You will therefore be working within a substantial and proven organization that offers all the resources necessary to do your job to the best of your ability.
Crucial support and continuous improvement
As an Application Engineer for Thermotraffic you play a central role in the configuration, support and continuous improvement of a WMS platform. You operate at the heart of complex international supply chains, collaborating with cross-functional teams including logistics, IT, and operations to understand business needs and translate them into system requirements.
Your detailed day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Providing first-line support to end-users and resolve application-related issues. This includes scanners, printers and data exchange with customers (EDI).
- Assisting in the configuration, testing, and deployment of new WMS solutions;
- Participating in system upgrades, enhancements, and integration projects;
- Documenting processes, configurations and user guides;
- Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement.
You report to the Team Leader Business Applications.

The role of Application Engineer requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a commitment to meeting the needs of customers within and outside the organization. In addition, you are a pro-active team player who can also work independently, open to the new technologies and possibilities enabled by our agile environment.
The more specific requirements are:
- 3-5 years of experience in application support or software implementation;
- Knowledge of warehouse or logistics processes is a strong plus;
- Knowledge of ProWMS (Principal Logistics WMS) is a strong plus;
- Strong written and spoken English language communication skills.
