Pay and Benefits-

Pay rate will be between £13 - £16 per hour depending on skills/experience

The Role

As Stores person, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company's stores, ensuring materials, tools and equipment are received, stored, recorded and issued efficiently. You will play an important role in supporting our warehouse team, site operatives and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, check and record deliveries of materials, tools and equipment.
• Maintain an organised, clean and tidy stores and yard.
• Issue materials, tools and equipment to site teams and workshop personnel.
• Monitor stock levels and identify items requiring replenishment.
• Maintain accurate stock records and complete regular stock checks.
• Prepare materials and equipment for upcoming projects and site deliveries.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries safely.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams regarding orders and deliveries.
• Ensure tools and equipment are stored correctly and maintained in good condition.
• Report damaged, missing or faulty equipment.
• Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.

·Undertake occasional deliveries and collections from sites across the UK.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Organised, reliable and able to manage their workload effectively.
• Practical, hands-on and comfortable working in a busy stores and yard environment.
• A good communicator with a positive, team-focused attitude.
• Able to maintain accurate records and pay attention to detail.
• Proactive, with the ability to work independently and use their initiative.
• Comfortable using basic computer systems for stock control and administration.

·Flexible and willing to travel nationwide when required.

·A safe and responsible driver with a full UK driving licence.

Desirable experience:

• Previous experience working as a Storeman, Stores Person or in a similar role.
• Experience handling engineering, fabrication, construction or pipeline materials.
• A current forklift or telehandler licence.
• Experience with stock control systems and goods-in/goods-out procedures.

Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.
Working hours- Due to our work being on various construction sites around the UK and our site teams operating between the hours of 5am and 6pm, you will be required to work hours that suit the requirements of the business and this may include varied start / finish times between 6am and 6pm. You will be paid a minimum of 32 hours per week but this can increase, occasional weekend work and the odd lodge away from home may be required.
