Thermofuse Pipelines Ltd is a pipeline contracting company that installs underground Gas and Water services on construction sites throughout the UK. Due to our increased workload, we currently have a position available for the following role:

Salary and Benefits:

  • Starting salary is negotiable £45-55k per annum depending on skills/experience
  • Performance Bonus
  • Use of Company vehicle for travelling to and from site
  • Company pension scheme
  • 23 holiday days + bank holidays
  • Company mobile phone

Duties:

  • Management of multiple projects around the UK to ensure service, quality and costs are met with the installation and commissioning of new gas and water services
  • Liaising with clients to discuss requirements of the project and overcome any issues/concerns that arise during the contract phase
  • Ensuring quality and efficiency from inception to completion
  • Carrying out site visits pre-contract and as required for ongoing works
  • Estimating and contract budget control
  • Implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Day-to-day running of projects and business needs including management of site operatives, sub-contractors, plant and supply chain
  • Costing of projects, invoicing, applications, variations
  • Purchasing of materials and hiring of plant equipment

Requirements:

  • Experience within a utilities or construction industry is essential with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar job role
  • Candidate must have a construction or engineering related background or qualification
  • Commercial and contract awareness
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety law
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously varying in value from £5K to £300K
  • Hard working and ambitious
  • Good organisational skills with an enthusiastic, proactive and flexible approach
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • IT skills and experience using Microsoft Office
  • Driving license

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am till 4.30pm but the right candidate must be flexible with working hours, willing to work overtime when required with occasional lodging and weekend working.
