Responsibilities

  • Support development, execution of global HEOR and evidence generation strategies for global product launches, label expansions, and US & EU market access.
  • Conduct HEOR studies and build value materials to meet global evidentiary requirements (global value dossiers, US & EU budget impact models, cost‐effectiveness analyses, synthetic control studies, literature syntheses, etc.).
  • Publish evidence generated.
  • Coordinate and implement global health technology assessment (HTA) strategies, including dossier development and submissions, in collaboration with Market Access colleagues.
  • Provide support and mentorship to early‐stage program teams to optimize clinical development.
  • Partner with Payer, Market Access, and Medical Science Liaison teams to understand and meet key partner evidentiary requirements.
  • Support direct engagements with commercial payers, Laboratory Benefit Managers (LBMs), Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs), state Medicaid authorities and HTA organizations outside the US on an ad‐hoc basis.
  • Serve as subject‐matter authority on HEOR, share knowledge and provide evidence‐based recommendations to other functions.
  • Remain up to date on competitive landscape and emerging HEOR methodologies.
  • Communicate regularly with internal and external partners to ensure all parties are up to date on HEOR information, including strategies, risks, and progress.

Qualifications

  • BS, Masters, PharmD, MD, or Doctoral Degree in a life science, economics/health economics, health policy, healthcare finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in health economics and reimbursement in pharma, medical device, or diagnostics industry for advanced degree holders; 8 years of direct HEOR experience required for others.
  • Proficiency/working knowledge of SAS, SPSS, or R.
  • Proven track record to independently develop economic and population health models to support value propositions across all phases of a product's lifecycle.
  • Publication record in health economics strongly valued.
  • Technical and analytic capabilities in economic modeling, economic evaluation, cost‐effectiveness evaluation, patient‐focused outcomes, burden of disease, epidemiology, statistics, and health care policy.
  • Experience and knowledge of global HTAs evidentiary requirements and processes.
  • Direct payer and/or HTA experience highly valued with focus on US, EU5 and other developed markets.
  • Proven record to drive research agendas to completion and dissemination.
  • Solid understanding of Market Access processes and reimbursement methodologies; prior work experience in Market Access, reimbursement or payer roles highly valued.

  • Up to 20% travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to think innovatively and inventively about HEOR strategies; broad and diverse clinical knowledge valued.
  • Ability to proactively identify challenges and problems; take initiative to determine solutions.
  • For US‐based hires: must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening.
