As a Product Manager in the Inorganic Mass Spectrometry business at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute to innovation and growth for our market-leading product portfolios while enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. Specifically, you will focus on product development of new technologies for isotopic analysis, targeting emerging high-value opportunities in the industrial & applied and life science sectors. You will manage end-to-end product lifecycle management, from strategy development through commercialization and optimization.
Working in a collaborative, global matrix organization, you'll partner with R&D, operations, marketing, sales and other cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products that solve customer challenges in inorganic mass spectrometry and stable isotope applications. You'll conduct voice-of-customer research, define product requirements, develop business cases, coordinate product launches, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers meaningful impact and visibility, with opportunities to shape product direction through data-driven insights and strategic thinking in the rapidly evolving fields of industrial and life science applications for isotopic analysis.
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree plus 4 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of experience in product management, marketing, or related commercial experience
- Proven success in product lifecycle management, from concept through commercialization, preferably in the analytical instruments or scientific products industry
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop compelling business cases and financial models for new stable isotope products and applications
- Excellence in gathering and synthesizing Voice of Customer insights, particularly in industrial and life science sectors
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills in matrix environment
- Strong communication and presentation abilities across all organizational levels
- Experience developing and executing product launch strategies and go-to-market plans for scientific instruments or consumables
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision making capabilities
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution in the context of emerging market opportunities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Project management skills to coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives in new product development
- Customer-centric mindset with deep understanding of market dynamics in inorganic mass spectrometry and stable isotope applications
- Up to 50% travel required, including international travel
- Knowledge of inorganic mass spectrometry, stable isotopes, and their applications in industrial and life science sectors
- Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements for analytical instruments and scientific products markets
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote position in a matrix organization
