What You'll Do

  • Lead the division and cultivate a supportive, motivating and collaborative work environment and build an effective and productive team focused on overall corporate objectives.
  • Ensure projects are properly resourced, managed, and executed and develop verifiable project goals for Associate Directors.
  • Oversee and/or coordinate new project implementation.
  • Work closely with client contact(s) during project implementation and develop working rapport.
  • Maintain a working client relationship with open lines of communication for the life of the project.
  • Work closely with Business Development in the areas of proposals/contracts, client presentations, and maintain client relationships.
  • Oversee salary administration, performance management, conflict resolution, recruiting and mentoring for Associate Directors and other direct reports.
  • Ensure quality objectives are met and oversee audit preparedness, appropriate response to internal and external audits, address and correct audit findings; respond to client feedback; and develop and comply with SOPs.
  • Manage overall budget activity for divisional area(s) to ensure profitability: review billable hour reports for divisional area(s), track projects' success in achieving financial targets; determine resource needs and ensure correct revenue forecast.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in health care or pharmaceutical industry providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 12+ years).
  • Strong leadership skills with 5+ years of management responsibility.
  • Education may be substituted in lieu of some years of experience for advanced degrees such as Pharm.D, Ph.D., MS, and MD.
  • An equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, may be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities: directs through lower management levels; has responsibility for managing a function that includes multiple related departments; may be responsible for a functional area (as determined by executive management) and may not have subordinate supervisors or employees; may manage employees across multiple regions.
  • Must be able to multi‑task constantly, pay constant attention to detail, and work under stress.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Moderate mobility required; occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moving) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15‑20 lbs.
  • Occasional drives to site locations, frequent travels both domestic and international.
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the‑shelf.
  • Ability to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand, with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
