Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all GMP Safety Standards and Cleanroom protocols, including PPE requirements such as safety glasses, gowns, gloves, lab coats, and ear plugs.
  • Lead day‑to‑day operations, ensuring a safe, organized workplace, high‑quality output, and plan adherence at optimal cost.
  • Live the Company’s 4‑I values (Intensity, Integrity, Innovation & Involvement).
  • Escalate issues to maintain compliance with company expectations on Safety, Quality, Cost, Plan adherence, and People management.
  • Be accountable for accurate production documentation.
  • Conduct product quality checks throughout the shift and verify that routine inspections are completed by the Packer Inspector / Manufacturing Operator.
  • Responsible for line set‑up, first off and maintain quality throughout the batch.
  • Provide input to the shift supervisor regarding people management and direct labour resource support to meet plant KPIs at optimal cost.
  • Cover the Production Supervisor role as required.
  • Train and develop the team to complete the full training schedule, covering SOPs, quality system requirements, documentation, H&S, GMP and 5S.
  • Operate machinery packages and inspect products as needed.
  • Minimize material wastage and challenge inefficiencies through problem solving.
  • Ensure operating team checks align with quality expectations.
  • Work in any unit as required to maintain business functionality.
  • Represent the department in meetings.
  • Collect and supply product samples for quality assurance; conduct cleaning procedures and maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Support development of PPI/Lean Manufacturing initiatives within the department.
  • Communicate daily with the team via tier meetings, toolbox talks, etc.
  • Manage and support 5S in the workplace, ensuring compliance with hygiene, housekeeping, technical and quality standards, ISO 9001 systems, health and safety policies, company rules, regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Carry out reasonable requests to achieve the overall purpose of the job and comply with employment terms, including undertaking projects or additional tasks within capability.

Qualifications

  • Good standard of education.
  • Strong communication across all levels.
  • Proven track record of working within a manufacturing plant.
  • Ability to learn, understand and carry out instructions.
  • Reasonable computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and email.
