Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed.

Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Office, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.).

Standing for full shift, Working at heights.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operation of the maintenance staff on your shift.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and calibration programs, emergency repair of production equipment and support facilities.
  • Investigate quality related issues using Trackwise.
  • Provide technician training as required.
  • Ensure compliance to all safety and cGMP requirements.
  • Ensure compliance to work instruction documents, standard operating procedures and standard works.
  • Review daily teamwork orders.
  • Participate in PPI (Practical Process Improvement), Lean and Continuous Improvement, and 5S activities.
  • Keep familiar with operation and maintenance procedures for all equipment in area of responsibility.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and monitor operation of equipment.
  • Install and monitor new equipment.
  • Complete all required paperwork, work orders, inventory requests, and requisitions.
  • Keep workshop and lab area clean and organized.
  • Keep current in maintenance and calibration technology.
  • Ability to work shift patterns and flexible hours if needed.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Role operates on a night shift pattern of 4 nights on, followed by 4 nights off, including weekend working.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in Engineering Fields.
  • HNC desirable.
  • Experience in Leading a team.
  • Ability to lead and train maintenance technicians.
  • Ability to effectively solve complex technical problems.
  • Self-motivated: ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Knowledge of safety practices.
  • Knowledge of how to use power and hand tools associated with typical industrial maintenance.
  • Knowledge in maintenance trades: electrical, electronic, pneumatic, plumbing, and mechanical.
  • Knowledge in common calibrated disciplines: temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, time, mass, electronic, and dimension measurement calibrations.
  • Frequent stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, climbing, pulling, grasping, and crawling.
