You'll be joining our internal creative agency that reports to Corporate and supports diagnostics divisions across the organization.

We're looking for an innovative and strategic Associate Creative Director of Copy to help define and lead the voice and creative strategy for all written and verbal marketing communications for our diagnostics businesses, including, but not limited to, web, email, digital, print, and sales enablement materials.

Using strong creative leadership skills, you'll help guide the copy strategy through positioning, identification, and tactics.

This role requires a unique blend of creative excellence and scientific fluency.

You will lead copy development that transforms complex scientific, clinical, and medical content into compelling customer-focused marketing while maintaining scientific accuracy and remaining aligned with intended use, regulatory requirements, and approved claims.

  • Continuously coaches and develops copywriters while maintaining high standards for brand voice and guidelines, customer experience, and scientific accuracy.

Guides copywriters on balancing creativity with scientific accuracy, ensuring messaging remains faithful to approved claims, intended use, and supporting evidence while maximizing customer impact.

  • Leads the full creative journey alongside UX, brand, and creative managers—from planning, mapping, and strategy to writing, editing, and proofreading the final output of the written/verbal communication.
  • Helps lead copy processes and resourcing, ensuring the team's consistency and readiness to achieve strategic objectives, budgets, and timelines.

  • Demonstrates exceptional judgment in simplifying complex scientific concepts into persuasive marketing without introducing inaccuracies, unsupported claims, or messaging that could create medical or regulatory concerns.
  • Builds strong, collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization and thrives in cross-functional team environments.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments, strategically balancing multiple priorities while maintaining both speed and accuracy.
  • Builds trusted partnerships across Marketing, Product Management, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to influence messaging strategy and creative direction.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years related experience in leading creative writing strategy with a focus on creative and technical writing within diagnostics, life sciences, healthcare, medical devices, or similarly regulated scientific industries
  • Bachelor's Degree - Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Advertising or similar
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Demonstrated experience translating dense scientific, clinical, or technical content into compelling marketing communications.
  • Strong understanding of the unique challenges of marketing within regulated healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences environments.
  • Comfortable collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure scientific accuracy while maintaining engaging, customer-centric messaging.
  • Talent for high-caliber creative ideation and marketing writing, and experience in writing and directing copy for both on and off-line marketing collateral.
  • Outstanding writing skills demonstrating excellent grammar, attention to detail, and story construction skills.
  • Experience leading a creative writing team and strong understanding of advertising and marketing principles, strategies, tactics, technologies and production.
  • Ability to communicate effectively; strong presentation skills, and ability to respond well to critical feedback
  • Familiarity using AI-enabled content development tools and modern creative workflows while maintaining editorial quality, scientific accuracy, and brand standards.
