Environmental Conditions:
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards.
- Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed.
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Visually and physically check all products to conform to product quality specifications and document where appropriate.
- During inspection, detect any product defects which occur on a consecutive basis to be reported to Line Supervision.
- Work across all production departments as required.
- Operate processing equipment where necessary.
- Collect and supply product samples for quality assurance where necessary.
- Carry out any cleaning procedures and maintain housekeeping standards.
- Maintain GMP standards in all aspects of the role.
- Support the development of “Lean Manufacturing” within the department. Make suggestions for continuous improvement and participate in implementing agreed changes.
- Ensure compliance with all Company rules and regulations, and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
- Adhere to and conform with the required technical and quality specifications in line with the Company’s ISO 9000 quality systems.
- Support the development of 5S activities to maintain the highest levels of hygiene and housekeeping.
- Follow Company Policy on Health and Safety. Report all near miss or hazardous situations to your line manager as they occur, or raise if necessary.
- Take an interest in personal development and follow the learning and competency frameworks relevant to the role.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Ability to learn, understand and carry out instructions.
- Be able to use initiative to propose ideas for change.
- Good numeric and literacy skills.
- Previous experience in a similar environment.
