Position Summary:
This role is based at our Protein Diagnostics Division in Birmingham, UK. As a Manufacturing Technician within our QC Testing team, you will join a passionate team dedicated to ensuring the performance of world leading diagnostic products that drive global progress. Your contributions will be instrumental in upholding our reputation for impeccable performance and groundbreaking ideas.
Responsibilities:
A day in the Life:

Independently manage own workload against a published plan

Manage Inventory to ensure materials are available and transacted to complete assigned work

Own and perform scheduled activities for designated equipment, area, or function.

Complete QC testing of components and finished products using a range of automated analysers

Carry out data and process-checking activities

Use knowledge and skills to carry out troubleshooting and suggest mitigation measures.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Education
-
Educated to GCSE level with a minimum 1 years relevant experience or a relevant degree.
Experience

Essential: Previous experience in a laboratory environment.

Preferred: Experience in workload management and planning is desirable
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Proven documentation/communication/digital literacy

Able to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Computer knowledge and use of applications such as MS Excel.

Practical knowledge of units of measurement and basic mathematical skills.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understand chemical hygiene.

Able to handle solutions and chemicals.

Essentials functions may require lifting objects up to 20 Kilograms.

Willing to work overtime in the short-term notice, including weekends to support department as needed.
