We are looking for a full time Drainage Lining Manager to join our growing team of drainage engineers.
You’ll be working alongside our other engineers across many our commercial client sites across the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.
The Drainage Lining Manager is responsible for the planning, delivery and performance of drainage lining and patching operations.
The role ensures works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification, while managing teams, resources, programmes and client requirements.

Hours & Location of Work
Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm -42.5 hourworking week.
Whilst this is our company standard working week, our clients sometimes require "out of hours" work and early starts/late finishes and weekend working are to be expected.
Main location – Our offices are Salford or Deeside (Whichever is closer to you).
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience in drainage lining / trenchless rehabilitation.
- Strong operational management or supervisory background within drainage or utilities.
- Sound technical knowledge of CIPP lining, patch repair systems and mechanical/robotic cutting systems
- Good understanding of H&S and quality requirements in utilities or civil works.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience working on water company / AMP contracts.
- Relevant industry qualifications or certifications.
- Experience managing multiple crews and projects concurrently.
- Commercial awareness and financial responsibility experience.
Responsibilities include
- Manage the day‑to‑day delivery of CIPP lining (all curing methods), patch lining and associated remedial works.
- Plan and programme work to meet contractual, commercial and client requirements.
- Oversee multiple lining crews, subcontractors and supervisors.
- Ensure all works are completed to the required technical standards, workmanship and quality.
- Provide technical input on lining solutions, defects, and repair methodologies.
- Ensure full compliance with H&S legislation, method statements and RAMS.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across all lining operations.
- Investigate incidents, near misses and non‑conformances, implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e. g. WIS, WRc, client specs).
- Lead, manage and support lining teams and supervisors.
- Carry out performance reviews, mentoring and training needs assessments.
- Support development of lining personnel.
- Maintain discipline, standards and team performance across sites.
- Support the commercial team with cost control, productivity and margin protection.
- Manage resources, plant and materials to minimise downtime and waste.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, inspectors and stakeholders as required.
- Provide progress updates, resolve issues on site and maintain good working relationships.
- Monitor and report on programme, productivity and KPIs.
- Ensure site records, reports, permits and QA documentation are completed accurately.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational reviews.
