We are looking for a full time Air Conditioning Engineer to join our growing team of service engineers. You’ll be working alongside our other service engineers across a large number of our commercial clients across the central belt of Scotland. This is a fully remote role and requires a full UK driving licence. This role will support the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of our client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance.

Hours & Location of Work
Main location: this is fully mobile role covering the central belt of Scotland. Regular hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, 40 hour working week. Whilst this is our company standard working week, our clients require "out of hours" maintenance so early starts/late finishes & night works are to be expected. On Call: this role includes a 24 hour on call rota on a maximum 1 week in 4 schedule (Friday-Thursday).
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Experience working on a range of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration equipment including VRVs, VRFs, Splits and Chillers
- FGAS Cat 1
- NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Equipment
- Working knowledge of Building Regulations
- Building Environmental and Electrical Services including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning within the building services industry
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
- Basic plumbing and building material skills/knowledge
- IPAF & PASMA
- Part P Electrical certificate
Responsibilities
- Undertaking all aspects of air conditioning and refrigeration installation, commission, and maintenance including the service and repair of VRVs, VRFs, Splits, and Chillers
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with Thermatic’s PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and task schedules as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team
- Providing accurate timesheet information to designated timeframes
- Carrying out basic facilities maintenance tasks as required
- Supporting team members including acting as second-man where required
- Participating in a 24 hour call out rota
- Attending team meetings or briefings as required
- Supporting contract teams with meeting SLAs by attending client premises within the desired timeframe
- Supporting Thermatic with maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with representative and customers of our clients
- Assisting office-based staff with producing quotations by providing accurate and good quality information where extra works are identified
- Producing technical and situational reports as required
- Escalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable timeframes
- Supporting the training and upskilling of junior service engineers
