We are looking for an Account Director to join the Accounts Team at Thermatic Technical FM. As the Account Director, you will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational delivery of Hard Facilities Management (FM) services to key commercial clients. This role demands a dynamic leader with proven expertise in engineering-based service delivery, commercial performance management, and outstanding client relationship development. You will oversee contract management, drive customer satisfaction, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services that align with business goals and client expectations.

Hours & Location of Work:
40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Based in our Head Office in Salford, Manchester. With opportunities for flexible working.
Responsibilities:
- Client Portfolio Management: Take full accountability for the performance, service delivery, and financial outcomes of assigned client accounts, ensuring all contractual commitments are met or exceeded.
- Service Excellence & Operational Improvement: Continuously enhance service quality, streamline processes, and identify operational improvements to align with client expectations.
- Strategic Growth & Retention: Develop and execute strategies to retain clients, grow accounts, and increase profitability through cross-functional collaboration and proactive relationship management.
- Team & Resource Optimisation: Structure and refine account teams for best-practice service delivery and efficient contract mobilisation and renewal processes.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, positioning Thermatic as a trusted partner and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
- Financial Ownership & Governance: Drive profitability through budget control, financial forecasting, cost efficiency, and informed commercial decisions, supporting pricing and negotiation strategies.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proven experience in the Facilities Management (FM) sector, delivering Hard FM solutions to large commercial clients.
- Strong background in account management, business development, and customer relationship management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams within a similar capacity and industry.
- Expertise in delivering field-based engineering services and managing service delivery for large commercial clients.
- Commercial acumen, understanding the operational impact of business decisions and identifying opportunities to enhance performance.
- Deep understanding of customer needs and expectations, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of gross profit, cost efficiencies, and financial performance improvements.
- IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (desirable but not essential).
