We are looking for a Ventilation Service/Validation Engineer to join the Critical Environments team at Thermatic Technical FM. The role involves delivering critical ventilation validation and verifications to HTM 03-01 and other relevant British Standards.

Hours & Location of Work:
- Location: Fully mobile across a national scale.
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am‑5 pm – 40‑hour working week. Out‑of‑hours maintenance (early starts, late finishes, weekend, night work) may be required.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office
- Ability to escalate and manage quickly and effectively
- CSCS Card
- HTM 03-01 (V) AP or CP qualification
- Strong communication skills
- Collaborative approach to working
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Time‑management skills
- Outstanding problem‑solving skills to address customer complaints or needs
- Updated understanding of consumer behaviour
- Strong customer‑service and interpersonal skills with diverse customers and departments
- Multitasking and time‑management skills for handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience in a customer‑focused environment
- Previous experience and technical awareness in a similar industry (knowledge of IPS/UPS, surgical operating lights, medical gas systems) desirable
Responsibilities:
- Execution of Installation and Operational Qualification protocols
- Validation/verification of new and existing HVAC systems
- Validation/verification of operating theatres to HTM 03-01
- Validation/verification of clean rooms to ISO 14644
- Validation/verification of LEV systems
- Ensuring equipment operates to specification
- Investigating and fault‑finding on site when failures occur
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and site teams
- Supporting the development of the Service Department
- Filter integrity testing (DPC testing)
- Measurement of air supply/extract rates
- Measurement of air change rates
- Measurement of air velocities
- Measurement of pressure differentials
- Sampling for airborne particles
- Sampling for airborne microbial contamination
- Surface sampling for microbial contamination
