Overview
We are looking for a full time Multi-Skilled Engineer (AC/ Electrical) to join our growing team of service engineers. You’ll be working alongside our other service engineers across a large number of our commercial clients in the Dundee area.
This is a fully remote role and requires a full UK driving licence. The role will support the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance.

Hours & Location
Main location: This is a fully mobile role covering the Dundee / Tayside Region and surrounding areas.
Regular hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm – 40 hours per week. Out-of-hours maintenance may be required, including early starts, late finishes, and night work.
On Call: 24-hour on-call rota with a maximum 1 week in 4 (Friday-Thursday) – currently 1 in 6.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Experience within the FM industry supporting commercial properties with reactive and planned maintenance activities
- Fgas Level 2 Cat 1 qualification
- Experience working on a range of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration equipment including VRVs, VRFs, Splits and Chillers
- Working knowledge of Building Regulations
- 18th Edition Electrical
- Electrically competent
- Building Environmental and Electrical Services including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning within the building services industry
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities
- Basic plumbing and building material skills/knowledge
- Asbestos Awareness
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- CSCS card
- IPAF & PASMA
- Part P Electrical certificate
Responsibilities
- Undertaking all aspects of air conditioning service and maintenance. Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with Thermatic’s PPM and task schedules as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team
- Providing accurate timesheet information to designated timeframes
- Carrying out basic facilities maintenance tasks as required
- Supporting team members including acting as second-man where required
- Participating in a 24-hour call-out rota
- Supporting contract teams with meeting SLAs by attending client premises within the desired timeframe
- Supporting Thermatic with maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with representatives and customers of our clients
- Assisting office-based staff with quotations by providing accurate and high-quality information and sourcing supplier quotations where extra works are identified
- Producing technical and situational reports as required
- Escalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable timeframes
